⬍ Why do certain parts of my gutters look like a waterfall when it rains?

If you have dripping gutters, it could mean that there are holes or cracks in them but most likely it’s a connector that either isn’t installed correctly or the rubber seals in the connectors have failed. If you have waterfall gutters, the more likely answer is that the downpipe is blocked which prevents the gutters from working properly and they back up which forces a waterfall at the lowest point.

⬍ Do I have a slate or tile roof?

Normally you can tell the difference by a quick visual inspection of your roof. Slates are typically dark grey blue/black in colour and very thin, only a few millimetres and they are generally rectangular in shape. Tiles on the other hand can come in a wide range of colours and many have different shapes and contours and are quite thick in comparison to slates. They also overlap/interlock each other as a way to secure them to the roof. The one exception to this is if you have clay roof tiles which can be similar to slate in both form and fitting but are considerably thicker.

    "Excellent service"

"Recently Mr Turner attended to the porch roofing on my bungalow. It had developed an annoying leak. Initially he inspected the problem, and quoted a satisfactory price and a date when he could attend to repair and replace the roofing as necessary. The result was neat and workmanlike and has been totally satisfactory. He also removed the debris and cleared the area of remnants. I was impressed with the standard of work and would certainly employ him in the future."
